Marshall County Central High School

We are proud to share that MCC Juniors Kelby Augustine and Brooke Bjorgaard were selected to represent MCC for the Minnesota State High School League ExCel Award. This award is given to students for excellence in the community,education and leadership for those students most active in their school activities that exemplify leadership and a strong commitment to community service.

Kelby and Brooke are two of our most involved students and demonstrate leadership in each of their activities. Kelby is involved in Football, Student Council, Choir, Band, Basketball, Knowledge Bowl, Baseball, National Honor Society, the Musical, One Act Play, and Close Up. Brooke is involved in Student Council, Cross Country, Band, Choir, Basketball, Chamber Choir, National Honor Society, Knowledge Bowl, Track, and Close Up. Both are A Honor Roll Students. Both are active in their churches and 4-H. Both do considerable volunteer work through school, church, their organizations, and on their own.

Brooke is a three time letter winner in Cross Country, Four time letter winner in track, qualifying for sections twice. In Basketball she is a captain and varsity starter this year. Brooke has also won multiple Superior Ratings in music contests and been selected for regional honor band and honor choir.

Kelby is a two time letter winner and All Conference Honorable Mention in Baseball, and he has earned three varsity letters in Football. He earned a varsity spot this year in Basketball. Kelby has also won multiple Superior Ratings in music contests and selected for honor bands.
