We are proud to share Senior Ellie Underdahl was selected to represent MCC for the Minnesota State High School League Triple A Award. The Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award, commonly known as the Triple 'A' Award, honors high school seniors throughout the state who have a 3.0 or higher-grade point average and who participate in League-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities.
Ellie will be honored later this winter at the Region AAA Banquet in Mahnomen. At the banquet Region 8 will select finalists for this award for advancement to the state level.
Ellie stands out as a leader in all her activities. Ellie serves on the Student Council as Student Council President, Yearbook as Senior Editor, and was elected Homecoming Queen and a Captain on the Volleyball team. She is also involved in MCC Choir, Chamber Choir, the musical, Close Up, and National Honor Society.
Academically, Ellie is outstanding, maintaining A Honor Roll status throughout high school, reflecting her dedication to excellence. Her positive attitude, politeness, and respect for teachers and peers make her a role model who inspires those around her to achieve their best.
In the Arts, Ellie is a leader in choir winning auditions for lead roles in the school musical, earning a spot in our Chamber Choir, and earning superior status at Section Contests.
Ellie shows tremendous school spirit and support for other programs, even those she does not directly participate in. She is present at sporting events, cheering on her friends, and has taken a leadership role in organizing themed dress-up days to enhance school spirit and camaraderie among students.
Ellie’s is planning to pursue a degree in Elementary Education, add a minor in music, and add coaching certification.
