Marshall County Central School District awarded an honorary diploma to World War II Veteran Earl Hanson today during our annual Senior Citizen Tea Event at Newfolden High School. Jim Larson, representing Newfolden Legion Post 427 awarded Earl a WWII hat in honor of the day and honor of his service. Service personnel at the senior tea event provided Earl with a salute. It was a wonderful day for our school and for Earl Hanson. Congratulations Earl.

Our school is hosting the vendor show and other activities for Newfolden's Home for the Holidays celebration. Lots of fun!

The Girls Basketball Game against WAO original scheduled for 12/2 has been moved to January 6.

12/1 MCC Open Gym Time Change: Elementary Open Gym is 12 pm - 2 pm and HS Open Gym is 2 pm to 4 pm. Adult Open Gym will remain at its normal time.

MCC School and Buses will be two hours late on Wednesday, November 26, 2019. The late start is necessary due to circumstances beyond school control. There will be no high school open gym in the morning. The 5th grade field trip is still on as scheduled.

Viking Program will have a change this year. Kindergarten will perform at 12:00 p.m. First and second grade will perform at 1:30 p.m. We are making this change so everyone gets a seat. A note will go home with students today.

Viking Elementary Parents: There is road construction on County Road 11 and this will affect travel to Viking for conferences Wednesday and Thursday if you are coming from the north into Viking. It is best to take County Road 8 to County HWY 2 if coming from Newfolden.

ECFE is cancelled for tonight and is rescheduled for 11/11/2019 due to water service outage in Viking.

Reminder: No school on Monday November 4. Viking Parent Teacher Conferences are Wednesday and Thursday.

Reminder - Tomorrow is picture retake day. If your child was absent on picture day, or if retakes are needed, please send your child's original photo package back to school and their photo will be retaken. If you need a photo envelope for new orders, they will be in all school offices.

Reminder - Preschool picture day will be on Thursday, October 24th. Please send your Preschooler to school picture ready! Order forms will be sent home Thursday, and due back the following Thursday, October 31st. There is also an option to order online, the code will be available on the order form.

Parent Teacher Conferences Monday (tonight) and Tuesday (tomorrow) at Newfolden Elementary and MCC High School. Appointment times were mailed for elementary students. High School Conferences will be held in gym, with no need to make an appointment.

MCC Schools will dismiss early today due to slippery conditions. Viking will dismiss at 12:05, Newfolden Elementary at 12:20, and MCC High School at 12:30 p.m. Buses will leave high school loop at 12:35 for homes.

Volleyball Practice will start at 3:10 p.m. tomorrow at Tri-County. Bus will leave MCC at 2:40 p.m. No football practice tomorrow.

Reminder - No School on Monday, October 7th. It is a teacher in-service day.
