The MCC student body & staff raised $998 and donated non perishable goods for the area Food Shelf in Strandquist, MN. The effort was organized by the Student Council and NHS organizations at MCC. The student body competed in Penny Wars, class against class. If students put paper money or pennies into a jar, that counted positively toward their total. If they had any silver in their jar, that counted negatively. The 8th Grade Class won the Penny Wars, resulting in a Pizza Party for their entire class. The following students were selected to attend the Team-Up Student Leadership Seminar sponsored by Region 8A which was held at the Ralph Engelstad Arena on Tuesday, November 30th. Each school was invited to bring 7 students from the 10th grade to participate and listen to Craig Hillier speak on being a positive leader in their school. The National Honor Society held a blood drive on October 5th. Their results/goals were 28/38 appointments were filled, 20 were able to donate and a total of 22 blood products were collected, they also had 10 who volunteered for their first time. Thank you for all the support.
