The K-2 Elementary winter concerts will be held on Friday, December 1st in the Viking School gym. Students should wear dress clothes on the concert day. Kindergarten will begin performing at 1:00, doors will open at 12:45. FIrst and Second Graders will perform together at 1:45, doors will open at 1:30. Our students are working hard to learn their winter music and are looking forward to sharing it with you!
ECFE will be held at Viking Elementary this Thursday (11/9) with 2 sessions at 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. We will be talking about Thanksgiving this week, and the theme is "Give Thanks." All children ages birth to five years old (along with their parents) are welcome!

"H is for Halloween" is the theme for Thursday (10/26) night's ECFE session at Viking Elementary. There will be two sessions at 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. All children ages birth to Preschool are welcome!
Viking Elementary Parents: Great news! The front entrance area will be open for families/students to enter starting tomorrow (10/25/2023). Please utilize the front entrance when coming to school instead of the south door.
If you come after bus time, please use the call button. Sarah will buzz you in. After you enter, please check in with Sarah. She is still in the temporary office just to the right as you enter the hallway. Our main office isn't open quite yet. It should open soon.

ECFE will hold one session this Thursday night (10/12) at 5:00 at Viking Elementary. The theme is "Fire Safety" and we will be visited by a local firefighter with his fire truck! There will also be fun activities and snacks for the kids. All children ages birth to five years old are welcome!
Smokey the Bear visited the Kindergarten classes at Viking Elementary last week and taught them about fire safety.

Transportation Director Adam Lokstad and Principal Julie Aas presented bus safety to students in Viking Elementary this morning.
Viking School Kitchen is in operation. It received new cabinets, new three place sink, new dishwasher in addition to new flooring. The update really opened up the kitchen area. There will be some finishing touches before final completion. The front office addition is receiving doors and windows this week. The truck with windows arrived this morning.
Viking Elementary 2nd grade students enjoyed one last recess on the Viking playground. Next year they will be moving on to 3rd grade in Newfolden Elementary. We wish them the best!

Viking Elementary's Spring Program is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, May 5th. The Kindergarten program "Our Animal Friends" will begin at 1:00. The 1st and 2nd grade program "How Does your Garden Groove" will begin at 1:45. Both programs will be held in the gymnasium at Viking Elementary.
