Robotics and Drone Visit to Viking Elementary
Viking Elementary had a special visit from the high school and junior high aerial drone and robotics teams. Our first-grade students had the exciting opportunity to learn about these programs firsthand.
The older students did an outstanding job teaching our first graders how to drive the robots and fly the drones. Their leadership, patience, and enthusiasm truly stood out.
Our Viking students were fully engaged and loved every minute of it! A big thank-you to the students and coaches for sharing your time and talents with us. Your visit sparked curiosity and excitement in our young learners!

Friday was a day full of wonder and discovery as our kindergarteners explored the beauty of nature and farm life! 🌼
We started our adventure at Kara Kesh Holsteins, a working dairy farm! The children were thrilled to meet the cows, learn where milk comes from, and see the hard work that goes into caring for farm animals. 🐮🥛
Next, we visited Klasen's Greenhouse, where the kids learned all about how plants grow. They got to see beautiful flowers, explore greenhouses bursting with color, and even plant a little something to take home! 🌷🪴
A huge thank you to our wonderful hosts for welcoming us and sharing your time and knowledge. And thanks to our amazing parent volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly!
What a great way to learn outside the classroom! 💚

Great job to our kindergarten and first grade students on their spring program performance at Viking Elementary this afternoon! Students have been working hard to learn songs, actions, and speaking parts, and they all did such a fantastic job! A big thank you to our music teacher Mrs. Olson for working so hard with the students. Also thank you to all the parents, grandparents, etc. who showed up to support the kids!

Viking and Newfolden Elementary Schools both had a quacktastic staff duck hunt. There were 200 ducks hidden in designated areas within the schools. All classrooms were no hunting zones. Each duck had a number on the bottom that either won them a gray duck prize, a lame duck prize (silly prize) or was a dead duck (no prize). Shout out to all our staff for making it a successful duck hunt!
