MCC 8th Grader Justin Timm represented MCC at the Northwest Service Cooperative Regional Spelling Bee held on Tuesday, February 8. Justin was one of the top 4 spellers and will advance to compete in the Multi-Regional State Spelling Bee on February 22, 2022 in Fergus Falls. The champion at the Multi-Regional Bee will complete in the National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C.
This is the second year in a row Justin has advanced to compete in the Multi-Regional State Competition.

1/6/2022 Due to some officiating changes the girls C team will start closer to 5:00pm tonight vs SAC @ MCC



The MCC High School Welding Class received a terrific gift from Central Boiler. Jason Lee from Central Boiler dropped off a new Lincoln Electric Mig 210 Multi-process Welder. The welder will allow students to opportunity to learn and complete MIG, stick, and flux-cored welding. Along with the welder, the donation included a large supply of cut steel that students can use to learn and demonstrate welds. On December 20th, six National Honor Society students from MCC volunteered their morning to help the Grand Forks Salvation Army reorganize and clean up after their annual Toy Drive. Major Amy Jo Ferguson informed the students that the Salvation Army anticipated serving approximately 800 kids this Christmas.
The students were humbled with the generosity of the toys, bags, art supplies, clothes, games, and sports gear all donated by the greater Grand Forks community. Please feel free to ask them about their experience!
National Honor Society members present were: senior Reese Rustad, and juniors Caleb Bray, Gavin Hockstedler, Lizzie Nelson, Addi Bakke, and Gabby Hoglin.





Student Council along with Choir and Band Students performed and served coffee and cookies for the Senior Tea that took place on Tuesday, December 21st





Mr. Dahl's handmade crafts class worked with screening printing to design their very own custom shirts.





The high school hosted its annual Senior Citizen Tea event for the Newfolden Senior Citizen's group. FACs students made treats, student council helped set up, served coffee, and visited with seniors. Art students and student council decorated. Music students sang and played instruments for a wonderful event. Thank you to community senior citizens for joining us! Thank you students for hosting such a wonderful event.





Marshall County Central Triple A Award Winners: Paige Ombler and Logan Youngstrand
Seniors Paige Ombler and Logan Youngstrand were selected to represent MCC for the Minnesota State High School League Triple A Award. The Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award, commonly known as the Triple 'A' Award, honors high school seniors throughout the state who have a 3.0 or higher-grade point average and who participate in League-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities.
