Preschool/Head Start registration will be held tomorrow (Tuesday 5/2) afternoon from 2:45 to 6:30 p.m. at Viking Elementary. Please bring all completed registration forms anytime during this Open House. If you have not received paperwork in the mail, we will have all the forms available at the school. Parents will have a chance to meet the Preschool/Head Start teachers and tour the classroom if you would like. Teachers will also be available to answer any questions you may have at this time. Thank you!

Tonight's Touch a Truck Event is postponed due to cold and rain expected. We are looking to reschedule the event for Thursday May 11.

There will be no ECFE tonight (Thursday, 4/13). The next ECFE session will be on Thursday, April 27th . The theme is "Touch a Truck" and it will be held at Newfolden Elementary at 5:00.

Reminder: Muffins for Moms will be held at Viking Elementary starting at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow (3/31) morning. Students are welcome to come and have a muffin breakfast with 1 special adult (Mom, Grandma, Aunt, etc.). This will be an open house with the classrooms and cafeteria open for breakfast from 8:00-9:00. For those of you who are meeting your child/grandchild off the bus, just a reminder that the bus arrives at Viking Elementary at approximately 8:20.

Last month, Viking Elementary Second graders were visited by the Viking/Newfolden Lions Club. They gave each student a Magic Tree House book in honor of "I Love to Read Month." We are so thankful for this generous gift!

This week we are having special dress up days to celebrate Dr. Seuss week at Viking Elementary: Monday: Stripes Day Tuesday: Fox in Sox (Wear fun socks and show them off!) Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday (Dress in your wackiest clothes!) Thursday: Read My Shirt Day (Wear a shirt with appropriate words to school!) Friday: Pajama Day

Preschool Families: There will be a Preschool holiday program on Friday, December 16th at 10:00 a.m. in the gymnasium at Viking Elementary. Head Start Families: There will be a Head Start holiday program on Wednesday, December 21st at 1:30 p.m.

Reminder to Viking Elementary families that our winter programs will be next Friday, December 2nd! The Kindergarten program will be at 1pm, and the 1st/2nd Grade program will be at 1:45pm, both in the Viking Elementary gym. We are so excited to share our music with you!
