Elementary Principal
Marshall County Central Schools is seeking a full-time Elementary Principal to serve its two elementary schools, Viking Elementary (PreK-Grade 2) and Newfolden Elementary (Grade 3-6). The district is located in central Marshall County near the city of Thief River Falls in Northwest Minnesota.
Marshall County Central is healthy financially. The district’s enrollment is growing and it is in the process of a project to add space to improve its school buildings. We are seeking a leader with strengths in staff development, PBIS, and communication to serve as its elementary administrator alongside our elementary Dean of Students.
Our district’s goals include: maximizing student achievement, developing citizenship, promoting quality communication, and seeking continuous improvement. Included within many of those goals is a culture of collaboration and support. Our mission is: Building a foundation and future of educational excellence - one student at a time.
The Principal Position has a 210 day contract. Benefits include full family health care, VEBA/HSA, BOSA and MESPA dues paid, life insurance policy, 403B, and sick time. Interested candidates must possess Minnesota Teaching License and Minnesota Principal License. Preferred candidate has previous administrative experience and a minimum of 5 years teaching.

Elementary Music Teacher
Marshall County Central Schools is seeking an elementary music teacher for the 2023-2024 school year to work at our Viking Elementary and Newfolden Elementary sites. We prefer applicants with K-12 Music Education License but would accept applicants with license or pending license in Vocal and Classroom Music, Instrumental and Classroom Music, or elementary education with background in music.

Full-Time Substitute Teacher
Marshall County Central Schools is seeking a full time substitute for the 2023-2024 school year. Qualifications require an active Tier 3 or 4 teaching license. Compensation and Benefits based on Master Agreement.
Person hired would be scheduled to serve as teaching substitute throughout the year. On days not scheduled to substitute, teacher would be on-call substitute, would assist with Title I, High School student support, paraprofessional substitute, or serve as a peer coach.
