NHS members checked donors in and senior members Brooke and Rachel were able to donate as well! Special shout-out to Rachel Larson: this was her 3rd donation before graduation so she will be receiving hero chords. Great job, Rachel! With the gracious help of students, staff, and community members, 27 units of blood/blood products and we had 7 first-time donors! Marshall County Central and American Legion Post 427 are proudly hosting a Veterans Day Presentation for the students and public on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the Marshall County Central High School gym. This year’s presentation will feature keynote speaker ABF First Class Adam Sethre, United States Navy. ABF1 Sethre is Grandson of Stuart Sethre, US Navy, YN3 and MCC Wall of Honor 2022 Inductee. The Marshall County Central community is thankful for our veterans and it is an honor for the school to work with Legion Post 427 and host a program each year. In addition to the keynote speaker, the Marshall County Central Senior High Choir and MCC Chamber Choir will perform musical pieces. Six veterans will be presented with Quilts of Valor. One local enlisted member of the military and three veterans will be honored with certificates presented by the Legion. Previous programs honoring our veterans were attended by a crowd of over 500 students and community members. Marshall County Central and the American Legion Post 427 invite anyone who wishes to attend to join us in remembrance of our veterans.
