SPORTS/ ACTIVITIES INVOLVED IN: Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Shoot Trap. I play on the Middle River Renegades Baseball team during the summer.
Why Nominated: Sawyer is a respectful young man who I see as a steady presence in the school. He handles himself well in the school setting and within his peer group. Most kids know right from wrong, but Sawyer demonstrates both the knowledge and the application of that characteristic. He is friendly, outgoing, and gets along with everyone.

The Marshall County Central Student Council facilitated a fundraiser to raise funds for the Strandquist Food Shelf for this upcoming Holiday Season. Student Council presented Marian Berggren from the Strandquist Food Shelf with the check for $586.88.
The 5th and 6th graders brought in the most money, so 6th grader Dawson Hansen was chosen to throw a pie in Principal Longerbone's face.

Select MCC music students attended the annual solo contests, hosted at KCC on November 13th. 7 MCC students attended and participated in the contest this year with five students performing a vocal solo, one student doing an instrumental solo, and one student doing both a vocal and an instrumental solo. Of the eight solos performed, all of them received superiors, the top rating of the scoring system used for solo contest. Brooke Bjorgaard also received the "Outstanding Soloist" award, given to the top soloist her judge saw that day. Way to go MCC music students!

Snowmobile Safety Training - Sunday December 8th, 2024 @ 12:30 PM
As always, students should not attend if not feeling well or has any symptoms.
1. Complete the MN Snowmobile Safety Class online

2. EMAIL or TEXT your Completion Certificate – shows your

3. Student attend a 1-day class room review and riding performance course
**Certificate becomes valid at age 12**

October Staff of the Month - Head Cook VIcki Gast! Why Vicki was nominated: Vicki and her staff do a wonderful job everyday feeding the high school great food. They work hard in the kitchen to give their best. It really makes the student and staffs' day to have some delicious food to look forward to at lunch time. Thank you also to Amy Levenhagen and Dayna Melvie for their hard work and dedication, it's a team effort. Congratulations Vicki!
